About the role: The Shipping Associate is responsible for the expedient and accurate handling of outgoing customer shipments. Attention to detail, ability to work within a team, strong communication skills, and easily adapts to change. Preferred Schedule: M-F 8:30 am-4:30 pm Wage: $18-$19/hr DOE What you'll do: Review IRIS (Inventory Tracking System) Work with other shipping associates to prioritize the daily work Confirm materials with packing slips and ensure secure shipments Ensure correct inventory is picked Escalate shipping issues as needed Use digital printers and pallet jacks Maintain clean and safe shipping stations and inventory aisles Complete post shift cleanup duties Assist other departments as needed and perform additional duties as assigned What you bring: Evokes trust from others by keeping commitments and adhering to high ethical standards Takes a high degree of ownership for every job Represents PFL and our CARES values: Commitment, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, & Service Demonstrates ability to learn quickly, solve problems, and work independently Good communication skills and responsive to clear and direct feedback Proven ability to work cooperatively in a collaborative, team-focused environment Maintain a steady pace with sharp attention to detail during repetitive tasks Disciplined time management, effective prioritization, and works with a sense of urgency Demonstrates ability to promptly change tasks, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a positive attitude Able to handle high volume of work with accuracy and attention to detail Follows verbal, written, and visual instructions accurately Consistently follows workflow processes, departmental procedures, and company policies Demonstrates the ability to work safely and effectively identify safety concerns Ability to use math skills for problem solving and quantity verification Essential functions: Possesses an intermediate level of technical proficiency to utilize internal and external software tools for prioritizing shipments, ensuring efficient workflow and on time shipments Adhere strictly to processes and review digital job tickets with attention for detail, ensuring quality products, high accuracy, and low spoilage Operate and maintain equipment, including digital printers and pallet jacks, safely and effectively while managing a high volume of work Ability to work a full-time schedule 40 hour work week Perform physical tasks required for the shipping position, including standing for 8–10-hour shifts, lifting and transporting objects weighting up-to 40 pounds, and executing a variety of functional movements such as grasping, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, twisting, bending, stooping, and climbing.
