The Maintenance Leader serves as the “quarterback” for maintenance programs across two assigned production lines. This role owns maintenance performance and is accountable for identifying, correcting, and eliminating maintenance‑related losses while building equipment capability and strengthening operating teams. The Maintenance Leader drives maintenance planning, downtime and planned stop execution, preventive and autonomous maintenance effectiveness, and defect resolution. This role partners closely with line teams, reliability execution, and operations leadership to deliver best‑in‑class line performance and embed strong maintenance ways of working. Responsibilities Schedule Primary schedule: Monday - Friday Shift: Primarily day shift, approximately 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM Flexibility required based on operational needs Occasional weekend support may be required Line Ownership and Performance Own maintenance performance for two assigned production lines, including reliability, uptime, and maintenance‑related losses Track, analyze, and eliminate breakdowns, chronic losses, and recurring defects Identify, prioritize, and close line defects with urgency and discipline Maintenance Planning and Execution Lead maintenance planning for assigned lines, including downtime planning, daily planned‑stop execution, and overhaul readiness Ensure proper execution of preventive maintenance to support equipment reliability and asset health Coach and assess preventive and autonomous maintenance standards, solutions, and mitigation strategies Defect Management and Continuous Improvement Track and prioritize equipment defects identified by line teams Ensure timely corrective actions and consistent follow‑through Share learnings and insights with the reliability execution team to improve standards and future designs Capability Building and Coaching Build maintenance and equipment capability within operating teams Provide hands‑on coaching on equipment care, PM execution, troubleshooting, and loss elimination Serve as a technical and maintenance role model on the production line Operating Rhythm and Collaboration Participate in line DDS, line structure team meetings, and shift huddles Serve as the key maintenance voice in daily and weekly operating rhythms Partner with operations, reliability, and maintenance teams to ensure aligned execution Team Engagement and Culture Support a culture of ownership, accountability, and teamwork Encourage team participation through structured systems and engagement routines Model safe, quality‑focused, and disciplined execution Compensation & Benefits The expected compensation range for this position is $60,200 – $90,200. Location, confirmed job‑related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Paid time off in accordance with policy is subject to eligibility and includes vacation, holiday, sick, bereavement and parental leave. Vacation: for eligible full‑time employees, a minimum of 15 paid vacation days. Holidays: for eligible full‑time employees, the company provides 10 paid holidays annually. Sick leave: for eligible full‑time employees, 10 days (80 hours) of paid sick leave benefits are available for absences related to non‑job‑related injury. Sick leave will be accrued during your first year at 1 day for each month worked in that calendar year. Bereavement leave: up to three consecutive working days with pay for a death of an immediate family member (eligible full‑time and part‑time employees). Parental leave: for eligible employees, paid parental leave for up to 6 weeks to bond with a newborn or newly adopted child. Additional benefits: medical, dental, vision, disability, health, and dependent care reimbursement accounts, employee assistance program, accident, group legal, life insurance, and a defined contribution retirement plan. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; technical or mechanical education preferred. 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or production environment. 2+ years of experience in a lead operator, team lead, or similar frontline leadership role. Preferred: technical maintenance experience; exposure to equipment troubleshooting, preventive and autonomous maintenance systems, or mechanical processes; experience working with daily management systems (DDS, tier meetings); knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, IWS, or TPM.
