DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the daily operation of a state liquor store by assisting with staff supervision, customer service, and store upkeep. The role helps ensure that customers have a positive experience and that store activities follow required policies and standards. As a Liquor Store Assistant Manager 1, you will perform the following duties: Shift Supervision: Oversee store activities during assigned shifts and ensure procedures are followed Team Leadership: Guide employees by assigning tasks, inspecting work, and offering direction Sales Support: Participate in stocking products, receiving shipments, and helping customers select items Customer Assistance: Provide service by answering questions and resolving concerns to support a positive visit Inventory Control: Help manage stock levels and maintain organized product displays Operational Support: Assist the General Manager with sales, merchandise tasks, cash handling, and records maintenance At Fine Wine & Good Spirits, we offer a unique opportunity to grow within a state-owned retail environment with a focus on quality customer service and team development. QUALIFICATIONS

One year as a Liquor Store Clerk 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Two years as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or an Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk (Commonwealth job titles or equivalent Federal Government job titles, as determined by the Office of Administration); or One year of lead retail sales work.
