Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid California Escrow License or certification, if applicable.
- Additional training in escrow, title, real estate, mortgage lending, or related fields preferred.
- Minimum 3+ years of direct Escrow Officer experience managing residential and/or commercial real estate transactions.
- Proven ability to independently manage escrow files from opening through closing and funding.
- Must have an established book of business generating a minimum of $30K-$40K annually .
- Strong network of local real estate agents, lenders, brokers, attorneys, and industry professionals preferred.
- Experience reviewing title reports, resolving title defects, liens, encumbrances, and other closing issues.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods throughout the day.
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines in a fast-paced office environment.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Manage end-to-end escrow transactions, including opening files, preparing documents, coordinating closings, and disbursing funds.
- Serve as the primary liaison between buyers, sellers, lenders, real estate agents, and attorneys.
- Order and review title reports while resolving title defects, liens, and encumbrances.
- Prepare, review, and execute escrow and closing documents accurately and in compliance with regulations.
- Conduct client signing appointments and explain escrow processes and closing paperwork.
- Develop and maintain strong referral relationships with real estate agents, lenders, and business partners.
- Ensure all transactions comply with company policies and state and federal regulations.
- Successfully complete client-required background check and drug screening.
