As a Security Officer Campus Patrol in Wilmington, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will be part of a caring, agile team that values reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity every day.

- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with campus contacts and supervisors.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and observe campus activity to help to deter unauthorized entry, support visitors, students, faculty, and staff, and report policy-related concerns.
- Assist with security-related requests, alarms, and/or calls for service, following post orders and Allied Universal guidelines while maintaining professionalism in a dynamic campus environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
