What You’ll Do

As a Veterinary Technician - Urgent Care at MVUCS, you’ll be a crucial member of our care team, ensuring pets receive timely attention and top-notch treatment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Triage and assess patients presenting with urgent needs, working closely with veterinarians to prioritize treatments.
• Provide hands-on nursing care , including administering medications, placing IV catheters, and monitoring patient vitals.
• Perform diagnostics such as blood draws, in-house lab tests, and basic imaging to aid in quick, accurate treatment decisions.
• Communicate clearly with pet owners, updating them on their pet’s condition, next steps, and home-care instructions.
• Maintain a well-stocked, organized work area , ensuring essential supplies and equipment are readily available.
• Collaborate with the entire veterinary team , contributing ideas to enhance efficiency, patient comfort, and client satisfaction.

Anticipated Schedule

This is a full-time position with the following available schedule:

• Thursday-Saturday: 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
• Please note that some holidays are required

Compensation

• Starting at $22/hour + a shift differential
