4 bed unit 1:2 ratio Age Groups of Patients: Infant, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult, Geriatric Top 10 Diagnosis/Procedures: Respiratory Failure, pneumonia, sepsis, post operative high risk patients, stroke, cardiac rhythyms, drug overdose, CHF, COPD, and multi-system failure. Any special procedure done on the unit? Assisting with Arterial line, chest tube, or central line insertions. Common Equipment: Vents, blood glucometer, Titrate Vasoactive Drips: Amarodione, Vasopressin, Levophed, Epinephrine, Neosynephrine, Lasix, Amarodione, Insulin, etc. CVP monitoring through TLC Great Teamwork, Engaged, Knowledgeable This assignment will require floating to any/all nursing areas including off campus SNF.
