Physical Therapist (PT) – Acute Care / Acute Rehabilitation

Duration: 13 Weeks

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist (PT) to provide patient-centered rehabilitation services in an Acute Care and Acute Rehabilitation setting. The ideal candidate will be comfortable treating a diverse patient population and willing to float to Acute Rehabilitation as needed following appropriate orientation.

Schedule

• Day Shift
• Schedule determined by department needs
• Block scheduling considered at manager discretion

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy experience required
• Acute Care experience preferred
• Acute Rehabilitation experience preferred or willingness to float to Acute Rehab after orientation
• First-time travelers accepted

Patient Load

• Approximately 8–10 patients per day

Required Licensure & Certifications

• Active State Physical Therapy License required
• Pending licenses not accepted
• BLS Certification required

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, strength, and function
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
• Assist with discharge planning and equipment recommendations
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment goals and home exercise programs
• Complete accurate and timely documentation within the EMR
• Float to similar therapy units as needed and within competency
