In addition, we've been consistently recognized as a top employer by Baltimore magazine.Primary ResponsibilitiesProvides pharmaceutical care and medication therapy management to ensure safe, effective, efficient, and cost-effective medication use.Reviews patient-specific information, verifies medication orders, and oversees medication preparation, dispensing, distribution, and monitoring.Collaborates with physicians, nurses, pharmacy staff, patients, and caregivers to provide clinical guidance and medication education.Promotes quality, safety, and cost-effective medication utilization through continuous evaluation and improvement of pharmacy practices.Oversees and directs pharmacy technicians and other staff within the assigned area.Provides training, education, and preceptorship to new team members, students, and other learners as assigned.Participates in direct patient care and supports pharmacy operations across applicable settings.Ensures compliance with department policies, Board of Pharmacy regulations, and other applicable standards.Work ExperienceEducation & Experience - RequiredDoctorate of Pharmacy Required (PharmD) unless graduated from U.S. School of Pharmacy in or before 2003 OR Foreign Equivalent.Maryland Pharmacist License.Education & Experience - Preferred1 year of experience preferred.Additional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Schedule: 12:30-9pm, every 4th weekend requirementCompensationPay Range: $57.13-$85.75Other Compensation (if applicable): Shift DifferentialLike many employers, UMMS is being targeted by cybercriminals impersonating our recruiters and offering fake job opportunities.
