Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, commodity management, procurement, or a similar supply chain role. 5+ years of experience owning and managing sourcing categories independently. Experience supporting both new product development sourcing and existing product/category strategy initiatives. Strong understanding of sourcing strategy, supplier management, negotiations, and cross-functional stakeholder partnership. Ability to operate in a newer, ambiguous, and evolving team environment with limited established processes. 3+ years of experience supporting sourcing work in a manufacturing or production environment. Willingness to travel 10-30% as needed to other business locations, potentially including West Virginia, Texas, Wisconsin, and other sites.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience: Experience sourcing for electrical equipment, engineered buildings, E-houses, enclosures, infrastructure products, or similar technical product lines. Manufacturing industry experience. Experience working in a business unit formed through acquisitions, integrations, or multiple legacy systems. Experience working with multiple ERP systems or across varying legacy business processes.

Job Description: Insight Global is looking for a Sourcing Lead to join a global electrical solutions client in St. Louis Park, MN. The client designs, manufactures, markets, installs, and services high-performance products and solutions that connect and protect mission-critical equipment, buildings, and essential processes. This Sourcing Lead will join a newer and growing area of the business formed through recent acquisitions. The team is still navigating integrations, multiple ERP systems, and evolving processes, so this person must be comfortable operating in ambiguity and helping bring structure to a growing sourcing function. This role will support a business unit which focuses on engineered building solutions such as E-houses and large-scale electrical equipment enclosures.

In this role, the Sourcing Lead will support both new product development initiatives and existing category strategies. They will own and manage sourcing categories, partner cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders, and help drive sourcing strategy across a business unit that is still being fully integrated. The ideal candidate is someone who has strong strategic sourcing experience, has managed their own categories before, and can build relationships across teams that may not have historically worked together.
