Job Summary:
Medical Surgical with Telemetry Nursing in Illinois This specialized nursing role involves caring for acutely ill adult and geriatric patients in a medical and telemetry unit. The position requires handling complex medication infusions, neurological assessments, and telemetry monitoring, with an emphasis on providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Certifications preferred: CPI.
• Education and experience requirements: Valid licensure for Illinois, at least 1 year of relevant nursing experience, with a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a similar setting.
• Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
• Responsibilities include monitoring telemetry, managing non-titrating cardiac drips, performing neurological assessments, and evaluating pre- and post-procedure patient care.
• Additional qualifications: Experience with EKG rhythm identification, Epic charting, and managing acutely ill adult and geriatric patients, including those requiring advanced medication infusions.
• Documentation and compliance: Labs within 48-72 hours of signing, modules completed through WorkRamp, and ACLS obtained prior to start if required by the facility.
• Travel and licensing: No local candidates within 75 miles; license in hand required; previous travel experience preferred.
• Orientation: 24 hours of orientation included.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
