EQUIPMENT & YARD LEAD

Monday - Friday 

6:00 am - until job is complete

$21.00 - $22.00  per hour  

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Operate yard and material-handling equipment safely and efficiently, including sit-down forklifts (up to 30,000 lbs), front-end loaders, and overhead bridge and jib cranes
• Load, unload, move, and stage raw materials and finished products in the yard and storage areas
• Lead and support daily yard operations, ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and on schedule
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic upkeep to ensure safe operation and minimize downtime
• Maintain proper organization and storage of materials, ensuring inventory is clearly identified and accessible
• Oversee yard cleanliness and organization, maintaining a safe and professional outdoor work environment
• Communicate expectations clearly and hold self and team members accountable to safety, quality, and productivity standards
• Assist with short- and long-term planning to support production and yard workflow
• Promote continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and material handling processes

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Prior experience operating forklifts, loaders, or similar heavy equipment required
• Ability to safely handle heavy materials in an outdoor environment
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to identify basic equipment issues
• Leadership mindset with the ability to take initiative and work independently
• Strong attention to detail with an eye for consistency and organization
• Dependable, self-motivated team player with strong communication skills
• Ability to work Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays as needed
• Ability to lift, move, and manage materials in a physically demanding role
• Precast concrete or construction material handling experience preferred but not required
