System Administrator

Akkodis is seeking a Systems/Server Admin for a long-term temp role in Montgomery, AL. The System Administrator will deploy, configure, and maintain network, telephony, Microsoft Operating Systems/365, Microsoft Office suite, Windows Servers, VMWare/Hyper-V, and maintain facility infrastructure. Qualified candidates will have 4+ years in systems and server administration, including Windows Server patching, virtualization, and Active Directory.

Pay Range: $38-42 per hour; salary negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors

System and Server Administrator job responsibilities include:

• Performs system and server administration activities including routine maintenance and support for networking, telephony, and data communications infrastructure. Includes operating systems, applications and servers, e-mail systems, file and print systems, virus defense, web services, remote access, network security, voice and data communications, and voice messaging.
• Provides higher level technical support.(Desktop/Software Peripherals).
• Installs maintains and troubleshoots Microsoft Office suite.
• Maintains and troubleshoots VPN remote access.
• Implements, maintains, and troubleshoots Active Directory permissions, group policies.
• Installs, maintains and troubleshoots Microsoft Exchange Server.
• Maintains infrastructure security including operating system security patches and virus defense.
• Installs, maintains and troubleshoots Windows operating systems, software applications and patches.
• Installs maintains and troubleshoots Microsoft Domains and Domain controllers.
• Setup and deploys applications using System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) or Intune.
• Installs, maintains, and supports physical and virtual servers.
• Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems with infrastructure configurations and hardware.
• Addresses higher level support and troubleshooting for Telecomm and Network.
• Implements Microsoft group policies and reconciles Microsoft and other software licenses.
• Setup and manages backup and recovery software solutions.
• Administrating and troubleshooting cloud based infrastructure Ie. Azure / AWS.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 4+ years’ experience performing system and server administration. Must include Windows Servers, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and server patching.
• Advanced troubleshooting skills (Desktop/Server). Higher level tiered support including printers.
• Experience with standard Microsoft protocols (i.e. DNS and DHCP) and domain controllers.
• Experience with server virtualization environments.
• Networking and printer support.
• Application deployment with SCCM, MS Intune, or Autopilot strong preferred.
• Manufacturing support experience highly preferred.
