Structural Project Engineer

From designing high-performance systems for new institutional landmarks to conducting vital structural investigations on existing facilities, you will be a key player in delivering safe, innovative solutions to our communities. The Role: Analysis, Leadership, and Oversight As a Structural Engineer at T&L, you will go beyond the calculations to lead the structural narrative of a project. You will: Determine System Choices: Perform and provide direction for structural analysis, calculations, and system selection across a variety of building types. Lead the Design Group: Oversee the work of entry-level engineers and technicians, ensuring the production of high-quality design drawing packages. Be a Field Expert: Conduct site visits and forensic structural investigations for renovations and additions to assess existing conditions. Collaborate Across Trades: Interface with architects and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated, on-budget project delivery. Manage the Lifecycle: Generate construction specifications using CSI-based templates and handle contract administration, including RFIs and submittal reviews. What You Bring Education: Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis (ABET‑accredited). Credentials: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is preferred. Technical Depth: Ideally 5–7+ years of experience in structural design for commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors. Material Mastery: Proficient in design using Steel, Concrete, Wood, Masonry, PEMB, and Light Gauge Steel . Strategic Thinking: Experience estimating engineering effort and managing project scopes.
