Safety Manager Regular Full-Time Professional Port Neches, TX, US The Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA’s Safety Management (SM) Maintain and schedule all ERT training for employees site-wide Develop and execute workplace safety plans aligned with federal, state, and local guidelines (such as OSHA and EPA regulations). Recommend actionable, preventative solutions to eliminate risks before injuries happen. Lead "toolbox talks" and safety committee meetings to encourage a proactive, safety-first culture. Mentor managers and supervisors on how to safely execute daily operations without compromising employee health Perform routine workplace audits, equipment inspections, and job site observations to proactively spot hazards. Education: High School Diploma or GED: Associate or Technical: Bachelors Degree: BS, Engineering discipline preferred Prior Work Experience: 3-5 years Required Skills or Abilities: Must have thorough knowledge of 29 CFR 1910.119 (Process Safety Management) Must have thorough knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes and equipment Must have knowledge of applicable industry standards, codes, and engineering practices (API, ASME, NFPA, etc) OSHA-PSM Level 1 Certification and/or PHA Facilitator training preferred Must have excellent computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, Risk Stature Assessment or PHA Pro (Dyadem) Must have excellent organizational, teamwork, and interpersonal skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
