Certified Medical Assistant - Rheumatology

What We Offer Novant Health Rheumatology & Arthritis - Ballantyne is looking for a full‑time Certified Medical Assistant. A team member will coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe, quality, cost‑effective service and care for the people within the practice population. New grads are welcome! What We’re Looking For Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. Certifications: Candidates must provide proof of current certification from one of the approved registries, including: CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA) RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT) American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA) National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of hire and sign an education agreement. Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred. Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required. Current State Driver’s License (Palliative Care Only), required. Additional skills: Ability to successfully complete generic and department‑specific skills validation and competency testing.
