Speech and Language Pathologist

Seeking Full-Time Speech/Language Pathologist servicing students in Pre-K through 8th grade for the 2025-2026 school year. Certification by CT State Department of Education for Speech and Language Pathologist Job Responsibilities: Actively participate in PPT meetings and create IEP goals and objectives. Develop instructional/therapeutic lessons aligned with students' IEP objectives. Provide written reports including diagnostic data and communicate recommendations for educational interventions, curriculum, management, and teaching strategies. Provide consultative services to teachers and related school personnel regarding students' speech and language performance. Provide information, support, and progress updates to parents when appropriate. Maintain confidentiality regarding students and their records. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support student success. Supervise SLPA's (Speech-Language Pathology Assistants). Additional Duties: - Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Principal and other central office administrators as designated by the Superintendent. Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Knowledge of Augmentative and Alternative Communication. Knowledge of Special Education principles, theories, testing, methods, etc., as well as proven methods of maximizing the educational experience of students with special needs. Knowledge of differentiated instruction based on student learning styles. Knowledge of data information systems, data analysis, and the formulation of action plans. Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education and students. Ability to use computer network systems and software applications as needed. Ability to organize and coordinate work. Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents. Ability to engage in self-evaluation regarding performance and professional growth. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships. Education: Masters from an accredited college or university in an education discipline applicable to the teaching assignment.
