TheTechnicalSourcingteamplaysakeyroleinensuringNando'ssourcesproductsandservicesthatareethical,safe,highqualityandalignedwithoursustainabilityandanimalwelfarecommitments.By combining technical expertise with commercial thinking, the team helps turn ambitious sourcing strategies intoreality—supportingourcustomers,ourpartners, our restaurantsandCentralSupportteamswhileensuringwedotherightthingintherightway.As we continue to evolve our business, we're looking for a Technical Manager to help ensure our food is sourced responsibly, safely and sustainably, while delivering the quality our customers know and love.A day in the life...Leading technical supplier relationships, ensuring suppliers consistently meet Nando's standards for food safety, quality, sustainability and ethical sourcing.Playing an integral role in driving the successful delivery of new product development (NPD), existing product development (EPD) and product launches, ensuring accurate allergen, nutritional and specification data is available on time.Managing risk across the supply chain through supplier approvals, audits, HACCP-based risk assessments, surveillance testing and quality management programmes.Partnering with Procurement, Food Innovation, Sustainability, Operations and Marketing teams to deliver innovative products and continuous improvement initiatives.Leading investigations into quality and food safety incidents, driving root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.Supporting produce sourcing throughout the year, managing seasonal challenges and ensuring continuity of supply while maintaining quality standards.Coaching and developing your direct reports, enhancing capability and creating an environment where people can thrive.Hot skills required...5-7 years+ technical experience within produce, chilled food manufacturing or food retail/QSR environments.Strong technical knowledge across food safety, quality systems, product development, HACCP, allergen management and relevant food legislation.Experience managing supplier performance, audits and technical compliance programmes.Knowledge of BRCGS/Global GAP/Leaf and key legislative requirements within the produce and prepared sector ideally requiredA proven people leader who enjoys coaching, developing and empowering others.Someone who can confidently influence stakeholders, navigate complexity and drive change across a diverse supply base.A passion for sustainability, continuous improvement and delivering great customer experiences through great products.Extra Hot BenefitsCompany bonusPrivate healthcare25 days holiday + bank holidaysFree Nando's at your place of work (and 40% discount when you're not working)Annual team trips, AKA a free holiday with your functionFour-week sabbatical every five years you've been with usReward Gateway membership and access to great discountsThis is an opportunity to shape the future of Technical Sourcing in a business that genuinely cares about people, purpose and doing the right thing.
