This correctional facility provides outpatient and clinic-based primary care services to adult patients within a secure government clinical environment in Alaska. The facility operates with established protocols suited to corrections-based healthcare delivery and maintains on-site support staff - including an NP, nursing staff, and nurse supervisors - to ensure clinicians do not work alone at any time. Credentialing for this position is estimated at approximately one week.

The facility is located less than an hour from Anchorage, Alaska, offering clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor recreation opportunities and regional attractions suited to varied interests. The area provides access to glacier hikes, wildlife viewing, hiking trails, river rafting, and fishing, with notable destinations including the Matanuska Glacier approximately two hours north and accessible by car, as well as Eklutna Lake, Portage Glacier, and the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center within an hour's drive. Clinicians will also find opportunities for aurora borealis viewing, heli-skiing, and flightseeing excursions during time away from assignment.

The Family Medicine Physician Associate will provide outpatient and clinic-based primary care services to adult patients in a correctional facility setting in Alaska, working four 10-hour day shifts per week. The expected caseload is 8-12 patients per day, with additional responsibilities including the review of outside medical records and laboratory results. No call coverage is required for this assignment. Required credentials include an active Alaska license, DEA registration, a clear background check, and prescriptive authority; board certification is negotiable.
