Executive Protection Specialist

Position Summary An Executive Protection Specialist will lead protective details for client families, primarily focusing on school security and extracurricular activities, and provide support to residential security operations, executive protection details, events, and high‑profile visitors. Key Responsibilities Lead all elements in support of the security detail for client family members, primarily focused on the school security program, and extracurricular activities, as applicable. Partner with other Protective Services team members to support residential security operations, client executive protection detail assignments, events and interfacing with high‑profile visitors. Understand the risks to the organization and Snap Inc. team, including personal travel risks for families within domestic and foreign locations; select and implement appropriate controls and risk mitigations. Participate in advanced survey, threat assessments and event planning to ensure access control, asset protection, confidentiality, and other security matters are adequately addressed through a written plan accepted by stakeholders. Recommend and implement security measures to enhance security for your areas of focus, our facilities, operations, and people. Travel, both internationally and domestically, up to 50% of the time with the client, client family or event planners and may be called upon 24 hours a day to support operations. Perform ad‑hoc duties and responsibilities as required to support day‑to‑day operations. Minimum Qualifications 10+ years of law enforcement experience. Strong experience with family security programs, executive protection, intelligence analysis and risk assessments; executive communications. Flexibility to work non‑traditional schedules including holidays, nights, and weekends to adapt to our 24/7 operation, including a rotating schedule. A valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle. Valid BSIS Guard Card. Valid BSIS Firearms Permit. Valid California Concealed Weapon Permit or LEOSA (HR 218) Credentials. Preferred Qualifications Multi‑national protective services experience. Bachelor’s degree. Valid EMT certification. Works well in a team environment and gets hands‑on to complete the tasks needed to protect the company and people. Compensation In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. Starting pay is determined based on job‑related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions and may be negotiated within the salary range. Pay Zones: ZoneA (CA, WA, NYC): $157,000–$235,000 annually. ZoneB: $149,000–$223,000 annually. ZoneC: $133,000–$200,000 annually. Eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
