Ports and Marine Senior Lead Engineer/Project Manager

Ports and Marine Senior Lead Engineer/Project Manager Location: Potentially based at Raleigh-NC, Miami+Tampa-FL, Houston-TX, San Diego+Irvine, CA. Your Impact Independently perform and supervise structural analysis and design for marine and upland components. Independently perform and supervise berthing and mooring analyses. Lead development of plans, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates for a variety of port and Navy projects. Understand maritime codes and references including UFC, PIANC, ASCE-61. Independently prepare basis of design, design calculations, technical reports, alternatives analysis, and study reports. Understand interdisciplinary requirements for port projects and be capable of performing QA/QC reviews. Attend client meetings and perform site visits. Mentor developing port and maritime engineers. Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. Required Qualifications Minimum 10 years of experience in analysis and design of port structures. Professional Engineer licenses. Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in civil/structural engineering. Previous experience in analyses and design of medium to large-scale ports/maritime/Navy structures and preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates. National professional practice organization involvement. Hands‑on analyses and design experience (SAP2000, OPTIMOOR, L-PILE, SLIDE).
