DSL Express is hiring owner operators to operate across the United States. Compensation & Benefits We payout very high percentages. Better than industry rate: 82% of line haul; 18/82 split your favor (we cover cargo and liability). Liability and cargo insurance included and paid by us; no separate deduction. Steady contract opportunities are available during slower markets but successful with spot. Driver Requirements Truck driving is a demanding job; you must be healthy, able, and willing to work. At least 23 years old. Minimum two years of driving experience. Valid CDL Class A without pending suspensions. Ability to work with modern ELD systems. Pass a drug test (no exceptions). Valid medical card issued. Stable work history and good references. No more than three moving violations and/or accidents in the last three years. No failed or refused drug or alcohol test in the last four years. No DWI, DUI, or BAC incidents in the last four years. No reckless driving convictions in the last three years. No license suspension for points or unpaid tickets in the last three years. No more than two moving violations in the last year. Provide at least three years of work history; non‑driving history for the past three years will also be verified. Other Incentives Home time is 100% negotiable; you set your schedule. Unlimited miles within ELD compliance. We do dry vans and refer; no flatbeds, dangerous tankers, doubles or triples. We only accept no‑touch freight. We do drop‑and‑hook and live load and unload; drop‑and‑hook currently paused. We rent trailers if you need one; many owners have their own and we cover. No forced dispatch for owner‑operators. A dedicated dispatcher will manage your routes. On‑call dispatching available 24/7. Contracts with NTS breakdown service help you in a pinch. You can park a rented trailer near your house for home time. Location not required; Midwest preferred but not mandatory. Riders are allowed with a signed waiver and rider policy. Gross Earnings Explained We base the normal solo driver gross earnings estimate on $5,000 to $8,000+ per week, consistent from Q4 2023 through Q4 2024. Gross earnings depend on mileage, availability, and market demand. Rates are typically $2.30+ per mile (weekly averages) and vary with season, location, and freight demand. Owners who drive more can earn higher totals; those who drive less will earn less.
