Role Overview The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) in the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) ensures high-quality, patient-centered care during their shift. They collaborate with management to oversee nursing functions, evaluate care quality, and support a team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with patient admission and discharge for efficient care delivery. Participate in quality assessments and improve patient outcomes. Support staff training, scheduling, and resource management. Promote a patient-first approach and engage in service recovery. Contribute to staff recruitment, training, and conflict resolution. Monitor inventory, supplies, and equipment. Qualifications & Skills Registered Nurse (RN) with at least 1 year of experience. Completion of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) and NIH Stroke Scale certification. Ability to lead, collaborate, and support clinical teams. Unit Details The CDU is a 12-bed short-stay unit for observation patients post-operatively or for medical evaluation, staffed by RNs, CNCs, and a manager.
