Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM).Echodyne is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to join our fast-growing team. REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCESenior-engineer level experience in mechanical engineering design for electro-mechanical products, with deep understanding of thermal, electrical, and environmental considerations.Knowledge of the mechanical considerations of PCB design and PCB packaging.Ability to advise RF, Microwave, Digital & Antenna engineering teams on constraints (mechanical, environmental, thermal) & work to a production solution.Advanced-to-expert level user of Solidworks.Knowledge in implementing, interpreting and explaining ASME Y14.5 GD&T.Knowledge in hand and computational analysis for modal, stress and thermal considerations.DESIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE (Looking for one or more as a complement to the core skills) Proficient experience in ANSYS/similar analysis software for thermal and structural computational analyses.Experience leading the mechanical design of RF or millimeter-wave transmit/receive modules, or equivalent PWA-based transceivers, at x-band or above through qualification & product launch.Certified in ASME Y14.5 GD&TExperience designing and certifying products for IP rating requirements.Knowledge of various production processes and ability to tailor design to those processes to meet design to cost objectives.Relationships with local fabrication shops.Knowledge and/or experience with design approaches for RF isolation requirements.QUALIFICATIONSBS, MS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, with +5 years experienceEligible to handle export-controlled data (ITAR, EAR)Echodyne’s technology is export controlled by the U.S. Government and we must evaluate an applicant’s eligibility to handle export-controlled information or obtain required Government authorizations.  Therefore, we will ask you as part of the application process to identify whether you are a U.S. Citizen or green card holder, or have asylum/refugee status in the U.S. WHAT WE OFFERThis is an exempt role.The expected annual salary range for this role is$124,733—$187,048 USDIf your skills generally align but not perfectly, please apply anyway.
