Must-Have: Must be able to circulate in ENT and orthopedic surgeries. Must be able to scrub.
Unit Information: Beds: 6 - 5 general and 1 urology. Average patients per day is required.
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: General, GYN, Urology, ENT, Vascular, spinal, dental, complex.
Required Skills: Nurses must be proficient in circulating and scrubbing for ENT and orthopedic procedures. Experience with the above surgeries is required for CST and Surgical Assistants. Anesthesia Tech must have anesthesia knowledge and experience in the OR environment.
Supports available within the Department: Unit secretary. Charge nurse takes an assignment. Resource Nurse available. RT is available 24/7. Hospitalist is available 24/7. Intensivist is available 24/7.
Technology/Equipment: EMR: EPIC. IV Pump: Alaris. Med dispensing: Pyxis.
Floating: Nurses will not float. CST, Surgical Assistants, Anesthesia Tech may float based on needs to various units around the facility to act as a sitter.
Scheduling: Weekend rotation is call only. On-call schedule requires availability 2-3 times per week and one weekend call per month. Holiday expectations: Yes, call only. Approval of time off requests goes through the manager. Shift times and schedule cycle details are to be confirmed.
