Iola, KS | Critical Access Hospital

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (18:45–07:15)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in a combined adult and pediatric Emergency Department with up to 7 beds and an expected patient ratio of 1:4 across all shifts
• Perform triage, assessment, and management of emergency patients with an average volume of approximately 20 visits per day
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; oversee care of ventilated patients and those requiring CPAP/BiPAP support
• Manage central lines, IV vasopressors, and maintain isolation precautions per protocol
• Document all patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Float to other departments or facilities as needed to meet patient care demands; Kansas and Missouri licensure (or compact equivalent) required at time of submission

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure; Kansas and Missouri licensure or compact license required at time of submission (pending license considered)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience; first-time travelers welcome
• Epic EMR experience required
• Trauma Level IV experience required
• Candidate's home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Critical Access Hospital setting
• Proficiency with triage protocols in a combined adult and pediatric emergency environment
• Familiarity with IV vasopressor administration and management of hemodynamically unstable patients
