Job Description
Title: NICU Nurse - Neonatal Intensive Care

Schedule: 36 hours/week, 12-hour night shifts, 18:45-07:15

Assignment Details: 13-week contract

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' NICU experience in a Level 3 or Level 4 ICN
- Current BLS and NRP certifications
- Experience with ventilator management, including HFOV
- Proficient in handling Nitric Oxide and therapeutic hypothermia
- Skilled in umbilical arterial/venous lines and central line care
- Knowledge of tracheostomy care, G-tube management, and ostomy care

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for neonates, including premature infants and surgical cases
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing nursing interventions as required
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and execute patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as per protocols and physician orders
- Educate families on care practices and provide emotional support

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation consists of 24 hours of unit-based training
- Required to work 3 Fridays, 3 Saturdays, and 3 Sundays per 6-week period
- All RTO requests must be pre-approved; no RTO allowed during the first week
- COVID-19 vaccination not required; flu vaccination required with exemptions available.
