Tech - Perfusionist

Job Summary:
Provide perfusion services during cardiovascular surgeries, ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Manage extracorporeal circulation and related perfusion equipment throughout the surgical procedure.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor heart-lung machines and other perfusion devices during surgeries.

• Ensure patient safety by maintaining appropriate blood flow, pressure, and temperature levels.

• Collaborate with surgical teams to plan and execute perfusion strategies tailored to each case.

• Maintain detailed documentation of perfusion parameters and procedures.

• Respond promptly to any equipment malfunctions or deviations from normal parameters.

• Adhere to all clinical policies, safety standards, and licensing requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Certified Clinical Perfusionist (CCP) credential from the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion.

• Possess a valid Tennessee license to practice perfusion.

• Have minimum 2 years of recent perfusion experience, with 3+ years preferred.

• Demonstrate pediatric experience is preferred.

• Completed at least one prior travel assignment in healthcare.

• Maintain current certifications, with a renewal plan for expiring credentials.
