Physician Assistant | Surgery - Thoracic Location: Bridgeport, CT Employer: AAS Locum Tenens Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Shift Information: 4 days x 10 hours Start Date: ASAP About the Position We are seeking a Locums Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a collaborative thoracic surgery team in Bridgeport, CT. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced APP with thoracic and robotic surgery expertise to work in a high-quality surgical practice focused primarily on minimally invasive procedures. Compensation: $180 Per Hour Assignment Details Schedule: 3–4 days per week Shift Length: 10-hour shifts Call: Unlikely to be required Combination of: Operating Room first assist Inpatient care Outpatient clinic responsibilities Practice Setting Thoracic surgery practice with a strong focus on: Minimally invasive thoracic procedures Robotic surgery Lung surgery Foregut surgery Collaborative surgical and inpatient care environment Responsibilities Serve as first assist in the operating room for thoracic surgical procedures Evaluate and manage office patients in the outpatient setting Provide inpatient care including: Rounding Admissions Discharges Collaborate closely with thoracic surgeons, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system Requirements Active Connecticut NP or PA license required Strong experience in thoracic surgery (non-cardiac) required Robotic surgery experience required Experience with minimally invasive thoracic procedures preferred Comfortable managing both inpatient and outpatient thoracic surgery patients
