Position: Line cook

Salary: $21.00 - 23.00 Hourly + Tips (DOE)

Position Summary: 

This role is more than just a LINE COOK , it is the opportunity to join a family, and act as a brand ambassador for bridging cultures through food. Take our patrons on a culinary adventure through education, quality service, and make sure they have a positive experience at our restaurant! We are counting on you to be an extension of our brand. 

• A LINE COOK is responsible for preparing high-quality dishes according to our restaurant standards while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Prepare and cook all menu items in accordance standards set by Executive Chef
• Follow restaurant recipes and plating guidelines to ensure consistency and quality
• Be a team player and work together with your team to foster a healthy and warm atmosphere
• Assist with food prep, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats and making sauces
• Ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored and organized
• Stock and maintain sufficient levels of food products at line stations to ensure a smooth service period
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and workstations
• Follow safety and health regulations in compliance with restaurant policies
• Attend all scheduled employee meetings and fill in for absent staff as needed

Qualifications: 

• Prior experience as a line cook in a restaurant setting is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in food preparation
• Understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a multicultural and diverse team
• Team player and positive attitude
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 20 + lbs
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills
• Comply with health and safety codes
• Ability to acquire a California Food Handlers license and Sexual Harassment Certification (before or within 30 days of hiring)
