Manufacturing Training Specialist - Manufacturing Support

Amgen seeks a Manufacturing Training Specialist to lead training operations at its new FleX Batch facility in North Carolina. The senior individual contributor will develop training strategies, manage workforce qualification pathways, and oversee training effectiveness metrics across manufacturing support functions in a 24/7 environment. This role requires cross-functional collaboration to ensure operational readiness and support facility startup objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute manufacturing training strategy aligned with business objectives and startup readiness requirements
- Create and maintain training assignment portfolios with role-based qualification pathways and readiness governance metrics
- Lead Manufacturing Fundamentals Training programs for new hire onboarding and qualification across manufacturing teams
- Identify readiness risks through metric review and floor engagement; drive mitigation actions for startup milestones
- Lead 2027 Learning Management System migration including planning, implementation, and adoption support
Requirements
- Advanced manufacturing training and workforce development experience
- Knowledge of GMP compliance, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in training program design and learning management systems
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and change management capabilities
- Experience with qualification planning, readiness metrics, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Track record leading training initiatives in 24/7 or complex operational environments
