Job Title: RN - Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Labor and Delivery License: Valid RN License Certifications: ACLS, NRP, BLS, AWHONN Intermediate EFM Must-Have: Candidates must have experience in High-Risk OB. Current certification in Advanced EFM/AWHONN Intermediate EFM is required. Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The nurse will work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. This unit handles a mix of low-risk and high-risk obstetric patients. There are 12 labor delivery rooms, 5 antepartum beds, and 4 obstetric emergency department beds. Staffing includes approximately 72 nursing and surgical staff. Patient ratios are generally 1:2 and 1:1 based on transition and acuity. Key equipment includes Alaris pumps and CADD epidural pumps. Nurses will be engaged in various procedures, including C-sections and twin deliveries. Experience with placenta accreta spectrum disorders is preferred. The unit fosters a positive and motivated work environment. Staff members are engaged and supported by an active management team. Self-scheduling is available, promoting work-life balance.
