Travel Registered Nurse PACU Job

Overview Registered Nurse, PACU (GI/Endoscopy) – Clarkston, Washington Travel assignment beginning 08/24/2026 for 13 weeks Compensation: $2,438 to $2,597 per week, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week Shift: 4 days of 10 hours each, Day shift, with a shared on-call rotation Setting: Outpatient perioperative services including Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Pre-operative Clinic; RN duties include floating to the outpatient services area as needed Key Highlights

Responsibilities

• Provide peri-operative nursing care in the PACU and SSSU, including monitoring vital signs, pain control, and recovery trajectories after conscious sedation or anesthesia
• Float to the full Outpatient Services area (Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, PACU, Pre-operative Clinic) to support patient flow and staffing needs
• Conduct postoperative assessments, identify and respond to post-anesthesia and postoperative complications, and escalate concerns per policy
• Deliver peri-operative education to patients and families, including discharge instructions and sedation considerations
• Collaborate with anesthesia, surgical staff, and perioperative teams to coordinate safe, efficient patient care and handoffs
• Maintain strict infection control, patient safety, documentation in the medical record, and equipment readiness for procedures

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of acute GI/Endoscopy experience
• PACU/SSSU nursing care experience; ability to float to outpatient services
• Charge Nurse experience preferred
• Proficiency in peri-operative assessment and patient education
• Experience with conscious sedation for special procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient perioperative environment and adapt to variable schedules
