Job Description As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Jacksonville, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This driving post requires an armed guard card or license and a valid driver’s license. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.25 / Hour Job Schedule DayTimeWed11:00 PM - 07:00 AMThur11:00 PM - 07:00 AMFri11:00 PM - 07:00 AMSat11:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You'll Do Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a utility location. Respond to incidents, alarms, outages, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, access points, parking areas, perimeter areas, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access to restricted operational areas, verify authorization as required, and report suspicious activity, hazardous conditions, and policy violations to appropriate personnel. Document patrols, incidents, observations, and responses accurately in required reports and logs. Minimum Requirements At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required. An armed guard card or license is required. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
