Job Details Permanent Maintenance Technician Salary: $30 - $35 per hour We are currently seeking a highly skilled, diligent, and passionate Permanent Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a key player in maintaining our manufacturing operations, ensuring that all equipment and machinery are performing at optimal levels. This role is integral to our commitment to quality, efficiency, and high-performance in our manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will be a hands‑on individual with a strong technical aptitude, excellent problem‑solving skills, and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities Conducting routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and respond to signs of malfunction. Performing preventative maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance, including cleaning and servicing. Troubleshooting and repairing any mechanical or electrical issues in a timely and efficient manner. Selecting and using the appropriate tools and equipment for each task, ensuring the safety and effectiveness of all operations. Collaborating with other team members to optimize production and improve manufacturing methods and procedures. Ensuring all maintenance activities adhere to compliance regulations and safety standards. Documenting and maintaining records of all inspections, maintenance, and repair work. Providing technical input and advice on equipment installation, modification, and upgrades. Participating in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to stay updated with industry trends and advancements. Qualifications A minimum of 2 years of experience in a maintenance technician role within the manufacturing industry. Demonstrated technical understanding and proficiency in mechanical and electrical systems. Extensive knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures. Proven experience in equipment repair, selection, operation, and control. Excellent knowledge of machines, tools, and preventive maintenance practices. Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex machinery issues. Basic safety knowledge and a commitment to adhering to safety protocols. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and collaboration skills. High school diploma or equivalent; a degree from a vocational school or a BSc/BA in business administration or facility management will be an advantage. Certification from a relevant professional body will be a plus.
