We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Human Resources Administrative Assistant to support our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, values confidentiality, and takes pride in providing exceptional administrative and HR support while helping create a positive employee experience.
Job Summary
Responsible for completing tasks in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, onboarding, timekeeping, orientation and policy implementation. Performs administrative and office support activities for multiple departments. Greet all persons entering establishment in a welcoming and professional manner.
Duties
- Responsible for multi-line phone system including answer calls, directing them to the proper personnel, and taking messages as necessary
- Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions, and other activities
- Operate office machines, such as photocopiers, scanners, facsimile machines, voicemail system, personal computers
- Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports
- Sort and route all incoming mail, answer correspondence associated with, and prepare outgoing mail
- Perform reconciliations as assigned
- Prepare employee onboarding documents and conduct orientation for new hires
- Responsible for assisting the HR Manager with maintaining employee personnel records
- Submit all new hire employment verification per E-Verify
- Maintain employee call off log, including notifying supervisors and maintaining timesheets
- Attend safety committee meetings in the community and be an active member of the internal safety committee
- Assist with internal audits
- Continued support for HR processes
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements, Education, Skills
- Previous Administrative Assistant experience preferred
- Basic HR knowledge preferred
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Efficient in Microsoft Office products
- Detailed oriented is essential
- Decision Making: possess the ability to make independent decisions daily, addressing the best way to handle specific tasks
- Communications and Collaboration: collaborate with members of leadership, support personnel, and clients on a regular basis
- Ability to compose emails, letters, documents, etc., professionally, using proper spelling and grammar
