About the role:As part of the External Operations team supporting Sourced Finished Medical Devices, the Supplier Engineer assists with the design and development of manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to meet manufacturing delivery targets, minimize costs, and ensure product quality at BSC Finished Good Suppliers. This role is responsible for partnering with these suppliers to evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering methods to solve problems and implement changes that drive improvements. This role follows hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our local office three days per week.RelocationRelocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.VISABoston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment VISA for this position at this time.Your responsibilities will include:Partnering with other engineers to lead and support projects for product qualification, change management, process development, cost reduction, capacity management, and all related documentation activitiesCollaborating with cross-functional teams to qualify and improve supplier processes; submit and manage manufacturing change requests, as necessaryTroubleshooting new and existing product issues related to design, material, or processes; analyze and interpret test results and communicate findings to key stakeholders Collaborating with suppliers and extended team for investigation of device issues or supply constraints through use of problem-solving, process capability studies, Six Sigma and Value Improvement projects, data analytics and/or process documentation. Ensuring corrective actions are identified, implemented and controlled by suppliersRequired qualifications:Degree in Engineering or related STEM discipline2+ year of experience working with suppliers and/or supplier managementExperience with medical device quality systems and/or production and process control or equivalentStrong technical writing and documentation skillsAbility to travel up to 25% (domestic and international).
