Contract | Travel | Nights | 13 Weeks | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Every other weekend | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 45-bed Medical/Surgical unit serving orthopedic, general surgery, urology, and medical patients including top diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, and pneumonia
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6 on nights, delivering organized and patient-focused nursing care
• Perform IV therapy, telemetry monitoring, and accurate clinical documentation using EPIC EMR
• Operate unit equipment including Plum pumps, Pyxis, Ascom phones, bladder scanner, EKG machine, and Philips Cardiac Monitor
• Float to other units as required based on staffing needs
• Nurses with PALS certification may be assigned to care for pediatric patients admitted to the general floor

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Maine or compact state eligibility
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year in a Medical/Surgical setting preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Proficiency in IV skills and telemetry monitoring

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification (required only if caring for pediatric patients; not mandatory for all travelers on this unit)
• Experience with EPIC EMR
• Background in orthopedic, urology, or general surgery patient populations
• Positive, professional, and team-oriented personality
