Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/13/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in a Level IV Maternal Designation facility. This position involves providing high-quality care in a fast-paced, high-volume delivery service environment, supporting over 500 deliveries per month with comprehensive obstetric and neonatal coverage. The role includes working within a specialized unit that features various rooms for delivery, triage, antepartum, and mother‑baby couplet care. Job Details: Certifications: BLS Provider certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted; Registered Nurse license in Texas; Neonatal Resuscitation certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP); Advanced Life Support (AHA or Red Cross); Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification. Education: Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school/college of nursing. Experience: A minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery/Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery setting; preferred 3-5 years of Perinatal clinical experience in high-volume delivery service. Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week. Additional Information: A Level IV Maternal Designation facility featuring 26 LDR suites, including low intervention rooms, 6 C‑section suites, 14 Triage rooms, 60 Mother‑Baby Couplet rooms, and 16 monitored Antepartum rooms. The environment supports academic teaching as well as large private OB practices, with high-risk, rapid‑paced deliveries and 24‑hour coverage including OB, anesthesia, and NICU teams. The facility also manages a Perinatal Transport Program.
