Job Description And Duties Anticipated Interview Dates: We anticipate holding in-person interviews beginning the week of September 21, 2026. California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) is seeking an Associate Program Auditors in the Office of Audit Services, Employer Compliance Unit. Under the direction of the Staff Management Auditor/Senior Program Auditor, the incumbent assists with the planning and conducting of public agency audits to ensure public agencies’ compliance with the Public Employees Retirement Law (PERL) and California Public Employee’s Retirement System (CalPERS) contracts. The Associate Program Auditor’s responsibilities include but are not limited to: Independently perform complex audits and audit procedures. Document the audit procedures performed and the audit conclusions reached in accordance with the Global Internal Audit Standards. Facilitate and participate in discussions of audit objectives, scope, findings, and recommendations. Telework Information This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.
