Description

Winvian Farm, Connecticut's premier Five-Diamond luxury resort, is seeking an experienced Facilities & Grounds Manager to lead our Maintenance team and oversee the care and operation of our unique 113-acre property. This is a full-time leadership position requiring flexibility to work weekends and holidays when needed and participate in an on-call rotation.


The Facilities & Grounds Manager is responsible for ensuring the resort's buildings, guest cottages, grounds, staff housing and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards. This position provides hands-on leadership while planning and directing preventative maintenance programs, managing departmental priorities, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and exceptional environment for our guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, coach, and develop the Maintenance team while promoting a positive, accountable work environment.
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of buildings, guest cottages, mechanical systems, utilities, staff houses and grounds.
• Assign, prioritize, and monitor work orders to ensure timely completion.
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance schedules and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Track annual compliance inspections and ensure regulatory requirements are met.
• Plan and manage department budgets, capital improvement projects, and vendor relationships.
• Anticipate future maintenance needs and recommend long-term improvements.
• Assist with emergency repairs and respond to facility issues as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support resort operations.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• While several years of facilities or property maintenance management experience is important, the right candidate understands that every repair, every flower bed, every light fixture, and every pathway contributes to the guest experience.
• An eye for detail in maintaining our luxury property.
• Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical systems, and grounds maintenance.
• Experience leading and developing maintenance staff.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of septic and well systems is preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
