About the Position

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to a highly acute population of cardiac progressive patients in a fast-paced, 48-bed Progressive Cardiac Care Unit
• Manage and monitor patients with conditions including Heart Failure, ACS/AMI, STEMI, post-catheterization, cardiac arrhythmias, pacemaker/defibrillator placement, pulmonary hypertension, and cardiac drips
• Support pre-surgical patients preparing for procedures such as VAD, transplant, and CABG
• Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 during night shift

• Active RN license valid in the state of Indiana (or compact eligibility)
• Experience in a progressive care, step-down, or cardiac care setting
• Ability to work night shifts in a high-acuity environment
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

• Experience caring for advanced heart failure or cardiac surgery patients
• Familiarity with cardiac drips and hemodynamic monitoring
• Experience in a Joint Commission certified cardiac care environment
• Background working with pacemakers, defibrillators, or VAD patients

• Work within a highly specialized, mentoring environment that supports professional growth and advancement in cardiac nursing
• Extended contract lengths may be available, offering greater stability for the right candidate
