Key Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Obtains and monitors physiological data, observes patient status, and intervenes when necessary
• Administers medications as prescribed; initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products
• Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Communicates care plans to patients and families throughout the hospital stay and at discharge, and makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed
• Delegates tasks to support staff and performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a Board-approved program
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services with proficiency
• Experience maintaining collaborative working relationships in a hospital environment
