At Target, we believe in our team members having meaningful experiences The role of a Human Resources Expert provides skills and experience in: understanding employment laws, using Microsoft Office and workforce management programs, and effectively using scheduling software. Responsibilities As a Human Resources Expert, key responsibilities include: Create an easy, inspiring, and friendly guest experience by delivering on commitments: greet guests warmly, help them find what they need, resolve issues, and thank them sincerely. Actively support team efforts and assist peers while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude. Adjust to business and guest needs to provide an easy guest experience. Work with your HR leader to anticipate and address talent and staffing needs, ensuring the right mix of experience and skills for in‑store and digital experiences. Lead focused recruiting to help store leaders hire candidates. Support team member and leader training needs and champion continuous learning. Be an expert resource for scheduling systems and pay practices. Be approachable and collaborate with leaders when action is needed. Deliver on all HR processes and programs to maximize engagement. Support your leader in following compliance policies that mitigate risks. Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance. Operate safely, comply with safety policies, report hazards, and correct as possible. Perform any other duties as needed. You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days, and shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times. Skills Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and teammates. Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and technology equipment. Effective communication skills. Ability to work both independently and with a team. Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot. Attention to detail and follow multi‑step processes. Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes. About Accurately handle cash register operations as needed. Frequently lift or move merchandise up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds without assistance. Capable of work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other environmental elements while performing duties such as Drive‑Up and carryout. Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift. Shift length may vary. Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays) and attend scheduled shifts. Take required meal and rest breaks.
