This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality cardiovascular care in a supportive, team-oriented environment while working closely with cardiologists and multidisciplinary care teams. This role will primarily focus on outpatient follow-up visits and pre-operative cardiovascular evaluations, supporting continuity of care for patients with a wide range of cardiac conditions. We are pleased to offer a competitive base salary outlined below along with a $20,000 sign-on bonus with applicable repayment terms. Tiered salary range based on years of licensure: Newly licensed: $116,035 3 years of experience: $122,861 8 years of experience: $129,686 12 years of experience: $136,512**Position Highlights*** Full-time Monday–Friday 8am-4:30pm* Outpatient clinic-based role* Average 15 patients per day once fully trained with 2 half days of admin time (8 patients on admin days)* Collaborative practice with cardiologists, nurses, and ancillary support staff* Opportunity to build expertise in outpatient cardiovascular management**Responsibilities*** Conduct outpatient follow-up visits for patients with cardiovascular conditions such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, hypertension, and valvular heart disease* Perform pre-operative cardiovascular evaluations and risk assessments for patients undergoing surgical procedures* Obtain detailed medical histories and perform focused cardiovascular examinations* Order and interpret diagnostic studies including laboratory tests, ECGs, and cardiac imaging as appropriate* Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising cardiologists* Provide medication management and patient education on cardiovascular disease prevention and management* Coordinate care with primary care providers, surgeons, and other specialists* Document patient encounters and treatment plans accurately in the electronic health record* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and practice efficiency efforts**Qualifications*** Current license and active registration as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York State* Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program* Interest in or experience with cardiovascular medicine preferred* Familiarity with electronic medical records; Epic experience preferred* Strong communication and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary clinical environment* Commitment to patient-centered care and maintaining HIPAA confidentiality standards**We offer a highly competitive benefits package, including:*** Competitive base salary range $116,035-$136,512 with additional incentive bonus opportunity* Comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision)* Generous paid time off and holiday schedule* Albany Med retirement plan plus a 403(b)* Annual CME allowance and dedicated CME time* Occurrence-based malpractice coverage* Employee wellness programs and mental health supportAlbany Medical Center is the centerpiece of medicine, research, and medical education in New York’s Capital Region and is the area's largest private employer with more than 10,000 employees.Albany Medical Center offers excellent career opportunities in a wide range of roles in both patient care and administration.
