Material Handler

Job Summary


We are seeking a Material Handler Level 2 to support daily receiving, inventory, and material distribution operations within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience handling materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, operating material handling equipment, and supporting production needs.


This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow written instructions, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities


Perform physical and administrative tasks related to receiving, storing, handling, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.


Receive incoming materials and verify quantities against purchase orders, invoices, or receiving documents.


Inspect shipments for accuracy and identify damaged or incorrect materials.


Unpack, label, organize, and store materials in designated inventory locations.


Prepare and maintain shipping documentation and records.


Process materials for shipment, including recording weights and shipping information.


Support inventory management activities and distribute materials to manufacturing areas.


Prepare kitting packages and material kits for assembly or production operations.


Operate material handling equipment safely, including forklifts, scanners, and other powered industrial vehicles.


Use hand tools and equipment as required for material handling activities.


Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Required Qualifications


High School Diploma/GED required, or 1 year of verified related work experience.


Experience in material handling, receiving, shipping, inventory, or manufacturing environments preferred.


Ability to read and understand written instructions, work instructions, and basic schematics.


Basic computer skills with the ability to enter, review, and retrieve job-related information.


Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


Ability to work independently while contributing effectively in a team environment.


Experience safely operating forklifts, scanning devices, and other material handling equipment.


Ability to use basic hand tools and equipment, including cutters, hammers, and related tools.

Physical Requirements


Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required.


Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.


Ability to safely operate material handling equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Details:


Duration : 06 Months with possibility of extension


Location : Twinsburg, OH 44087


Shift hours: M-Thurs, 3:30 PM - 1:30 AM
