Job Description

The Safety Representative supports safe and compliant operations on large industrial construction projects by maintaining a strong on-site presence, conducting daily safety audits, and collaborating closely with project teams and subcontractors. This role focuses on construction safety, QA/QC activities, and detailed reporting to help ensure that all work meets regulatory requirements and project standards.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an active and visible presence on an industrial construction site to promote a strong safety culture.
• Perform daily safety audits of the construction site, including thorough inspections of work areas, equipment, and activities.
• Prepare detailed safety audit reports that include written findings, photographs, and clear documentation of observations and corrective actions.
• Conduct safety audits and QA/QC checks on large construction projects, with an emphasis on industrial environments.
• Coordinate safety-related activities and communication with subcontractors, the project owner/client representatives, and other on-site vendors to ensure alignment with safety standards.
• Partner closely with project managers to understand project schedules, timelines, and milestones, and align safety planning with construction activities.
• Support construction management teams by monitoring compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements.
• Assist in identifying potential hazards and recommending corrective measures to maintain a safe and compliant worksite.
• Use construction software tools to document safety audits, track issues, and generate detailed reports for project stakeholders.
• Promote adherence to company and site-specific safety policies, procedures, and compliance standards across all trades and vendors.

Essential Skills

• Demonstrated experience performing QA/QC on large construction projects, preferably in industrial settings.
• Experience conducting safety audits on active construction sites and documenting findings in detail.
• Strong knowledge of construction safety practices and OSHA regulations.
• Ability to perform daily safety audits, including detailed reporting and photographic documentation.
• Proficiency with construction software used for safety audits, reporting, and project documentation.
• Excellent written communication skills for preparing clear, detailed safety and QA/QC reports.
• Effective coordination skills for working with subcontractors, owner/client representatives, and on-site vendors.
• Ability to partner with project managers and understand project schedules and timelines for key milestones.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Ability to maintain an active, consistent presence on an industrial construction site.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a similar field is preferred but not required.
• Experience with industrial construction projects is strongly preferred.
• Background in construction management and project coordination.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Ability to interpret and apply safety and compliance requirements in a dynamic construction environment.

Work Environment

This role is primarily based on an active industrial construction site, requiring a consistent on-site presence in Alpharetta, GA. The Safety Representative works closely with project managers, subcontractors, owner/client representatives, and other vendors in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment. The position involves daily field audits, use of construction software for documentation and reporting, and regular coordination meetings to align safety activities with project milestones. Personal protective equipment appropriate for construction sites is required, and the work environment may include exposure to outdoor conditions, noise, and typical construction activities.

This is a Contract position based out of Alpharetta, GA.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Alpharetta,GA.
