Associate Director, Urology - Oncology Key Accounts (West)

Merck seeks an Associate Director for Urology-Oncology Key Accounts covering the Western United States. This role manages relationships with large community urology group practices, serving as the primary liaison to drive product access, support healthcare partners, and improve patient outcomes in oncology.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary contact for Merck with large community urology group practices in assigned West geography
- Build trust and develop account strategies aligned with marketing guidance and customer health outcome objectives
- Understand product portfolio and treatment decision factors to maximize appropriate utilization across accounts
- Utilize data analytics to assess account performance, identify engagement opportunities, and develop coordinated account plans
- Coordinate across local account teams to ensure contract execution and address regional business partner requests
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or high school diploma with 4+ years relevant work experience in sales, marketing, military, or healthcare/scientific fields
- Minimum 2 years healthcare, life sciences, sales, account management, or managed care experience
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel approximately 50%
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with senior healthcare executives and key opinion leaders
- Financial acumen with value proposition communication and negotiation skills
- Strong understanding of healthcare ecosystem and oncology markets
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; collaborative leadership in matrix organizations
