Description

NOTE : This is a full-time employment opportunity (open to W2, 1099 or C2C, no third parties, please). The candidate MUST be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and able to complete/pass/hold a public trust investigation. This is a remote opportunity; candidate must be based in the United States; have resided in the US for the last 3 years of the past 5 years; ET time zone work schedule.

Daily Responsibilities

• The Data Governance Lead establishes and manages the data governance framework, ensuring data quality, accountability, transparency, and compliance across the ecosystem.
• Develop and implement data governance policies and standards
• Define data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models
• Oversee metadata management, lineage, and data cataloging
• Lead governance forums, including governance councils and communities of practice
• Establish and monitor data quality and RCA processes

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must have resided in the United States for the past 3 years within the last 5 years.
• Must be able to complete/pass/hold at a minimum a federal public trust investigation.
• 10+ years of experience in data governance.
• Experience implementing enterprise governance frameworks.
• Familiarity with metadata and catalog tools (e.g., Unity Catalog).
• Experience in compliance and audit-driven environments.
• Experience with large-scale healthcare or federal data systems.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Bachelor's degree in information management, data, or related field.
