Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse
The Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, directing, evaluating, and delivering safe, appropriate care within the scope of their practice to patients in the Perioperative setting. This role requires the ability to work adeptly in both Pre-Op and PACU patient care settings, with an availability to take on-call as scheduled.
Responsibilities
- Perform assessments and evaluations of patients prior to and after surgery.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Monitor patients' post-operative recovery, ensuring safe and effective care is provided.
- Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families.
Schedule
This position requires a varied schedule of shifts, from Monday to Friday, with some on-call responsibilities.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Previous experience in a Pre-Op or PACU setting preferred.
- Willingness to take on-call shifts as needed.
Assignment Duration
This is a contract position expected to last up to 13 weeks.
